Antonio Conte has explained that winning the FA Cup may not save his job at Chelsea - The Blues have been sent out of the Champions League and have no chance of retaining the EPL title - Their only hope of winning a title this season is now in the English FA Cup Chelsea coach Antonio Conte had admitted that winning the 2017/18 English FA Cup title may not save him from facing the exit doors at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. Already, Chelsea cannot retain their Premier League title this season, and they have also crashed in the Champions League. The Blues were sent out of Europe by current Spanish La Liga leaders Barcelona. Their only hope of winning a title this season is now in the FA Cup where they will face former Champions Leicester City on Sunday, March 18. Asked by Italian reporters whether or not he can save his Chelsea job by winning the FA Cup, Conte replied: “Its’ not an issue of winning a trophy or not. I think the work of a coach must be judged not on victories, but on the improvement of the squad and the current value of the squad. “I think this is a team that can grow in terms of quality and experience. We can do better in every aspect. I am not seeking victories, I continue my work aware that I am doing good work.” Conte was quoted to have said by Telegraph UK.
